A Note from Dr. Toni

Who I am and why this work matters

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be two things: a mom and a professional who helps people feel better. Even though I knew the field I’d pursue, I also struggled with my own mental health along the way. I know what it’s like to look outwardly successful yet feel inwardly disconnected, unfulfilled, and at times burnt out, anxious, or depressed- and how hard it can be to sort it all out, without losing sight of who and what really matters.

Over the past two decades, I’ve helped others, and myself, to heal, forgive, learn, and grow from the inside out. That journey led me to create a life that feels richer and more aligned- in ways I didn’t even realize I wanted. It’s the combination of both my personal and professional experiences that makes the work I do so much more than just my career- but my passion and purpose.

Relationships are at the core of who we are as humans- which is why I care so deeply about doing work that helps heal, shift and deepen connections; enhancing understanding about our experiences with people in our lives. Our relational interactions affect so much of our day to day lives- as moms and dads, leaders and colleagues, citizens and neighbors, husbands and wives. And our relationship with ourselves, colors how we navigate the joys and the challenges we face- be it at work, at home or in our communities. By recognizing old patterns and challenging limiting perspectives, we create the possibility for real and lasting change.

With a background in psychotherapy, social work, education, and leadership- alongside lived experience with trauma, modern day motherhood, relationship issues and burn out- I’ve seen firsthand how mental, spiritual, and social health intersect. These intersections affect everything from our own internal sense of success and fulfillment, to how we think, sleep, manage time, react to loved ones and deal with stress.

When we aren’t aware of how these parts of our lives are impacting us, our families, extended relationships and professional systems, we wind up struggling. We struggle to feel better, think better, do better, lead better, love better and connect better.

Yet, we need to do these things.

We need to be able to move beyond the rigid and black-and-white into deeper, more creative and courageous conversations that lead to meaningful solutions. These conversations don’t just help us heal- they help us evolve. As a result, we get to reimagine and reorganize outdated, unhelpful and unhealthy patterns for our families, workplaces, and communities- helping them thrive in healthier, more effective and connected ways.

This is the power of the ripple effect- and it fuels me.

Having built a business that allows me to serve clients I truly love while also being present as a parent and partner, I felt called to expand the ways I share my gifts. That’s why I created this space: to open up and expand conversations about the parts of life we all carry but often avoid- the ones that feel too hard, too taboo, or too complex.

My goal is to lead by example. I want to show what it looks like to see our flaws and the uncertainty of life and instead of living in fear of it or trying to control it at all costs- learn to accept, embrace and reorient how we work with them.

What you’ll find here are my perspectives and proprietary resources, each shaped by both personal and professional experience, woven together with research and lived wisdom. My hope is that what you read here not only informs you, but also inspires you- and reminds you that you’re not alone in navigating the messy, meaningful, and deeply human parts of life… no matter how “successful” you, your business or your family may outwardly appear.
